Adding Team Members
In Truto, you can invite others to collaborate with you. Here's a simple guide on how to add team members:
Steps to Add a Team Member
-
Log in to your Truto account.
-
Navigate to
Settingsand selectTeam Membersor simply click here.
-
Click on the
Invite to Teambutton. -
Fill in the details of the person you want to invite. These details include:
- Email (required)
- Name
- Role: You can assign one of two roles, 'Admin' or 'Member'.
- Environments: Shown only for the 'Member' role. You can grant access to one or more environments (Staging, Development, or Production). Admins get access to all environments.

-
After selecting all the details, click on the 'Invite' button.
-
An invitation will be sent to the person's email. They can join your team by accepting the invitation.
And that's it! You have successfully sent an invitation to your team member.
Removing a team member
Only an Admin can remove a member, and you can't remove yourself.
- Open the member's entry in
Team Membersand turn off the Active toggle. - Click Continue. The Review API tokens step lists the API tokens the member created, limited to environments you can access.
- Select any tokens to revoke and click Delete, then confirm. Deletion is permanent.
- Click Save to remove the member.
The member loses access to this team and its environments. Their Truto account stays, along with their access to any other team.
Removing a member does not delete their API tokens. Any token you leave in place keeps working, so delete the ones they no longer need in step 3 or later from API tokens.
To bring a removed member back, invite them again. If their entry shows This account is switched off, their Truto account itself has been turned off, and only Truto support can switch it back on.
